DIY Grout Cleaner

Your tiled floors are just as important to maintain and keep clean as your carpets are! Like carpets, your tiles and grout are going get dirty, discolored and even stained. Lucky for you, dear reader, I have a DIY grout cleaner for you today! It only takes 2 or 3 simple ingredients, some elbow grease and time to have cleaner grout!

Method #1

Mix: ½ cup Baking Soda with ¼ cup Hydrogen Peroxide and 1 tsp. Dish Soap, into a paste. Spoon the paste onto your grout and leave it be for 5 to 10 minutes. Scrub and rinse!

Method #2

Spread dry Baking Soda onto grout until it’s covered. Then, spray with Hydrogen Peroxide until wet and leave it be for 10 minutes. Wipe clean!

Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda are both natural cleaners and can help remove dirt and kill bacteria that were ground into your grout. Dish soap can help break down greasy stains if necessary. Cleaning your grout and tiles can be extremely time consuming and painful for your back and knees but when maintained your floors will last longer and shine brighter.
